Achieve better fit without losing strength when preparing metal surfaces or removing rust and paint by using the Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip XT Pro Disc. Our disks combine redesigned fiber weaves, resin, and mineral abrasive grains based on silicon carbide, which create a thick non-woven fabric with an open structure. The resilient nature of the fibers makes our disks more accurately conform to the surface, ensuring better contact with the processed element and faster cleaning. They adapt to welding splatters, polishing them without removing them and allowing work in hard-to-reach places without damaging the substrate. Silicon carbide provides intense cutting, leaving a delicate finish. Burrs, dirt, and contaminants are effectively removed while maintaining the geometry of the processed element, which in turn reduces the amount of rework and helps increase productivity. Additionally, the gaps in the non-woven fabric allow for chip removal, minimizing the clogging of the abrasive material. To ensure even cutting throughout the usage period, the reinforcing resin bond of the disk gradually breaks down during use, revealing new fibers and super sharp silicon carbide-based abrasive grains. The high-strength fiber is tear-resistant and performs well in edge work. These disks also feature low levels of vibration and sparking, high rotational speed, and long lifespan.
