The PM-30 GT inclinometer, manufactured by Precyzja, enables the measurement of auxiliary parameters that determine the deflection (wear) state of the chassis, such as the measurement of the inclinations of control arms, drive shaft, or alternative base elements. Determining these parameters is required at the beginning of the wheel alignment measurement and adjustment process in Mercedes Benz and Maybach vehicles and allows for establishing reference values for the wheel geometry of a specific vehicle for parameters such as wheel alignment, camber angle, and caster angle.
The inclinometer consists of a control panel equipped with control buttons and a display screen, and an accelerometer sensor connected to it by a cable, measuring the angle relative to the level in two perpendicular directions. The sensor is housed in a protective casing equipped with elements that allow for precise positioning on the axle shaft. The sensor housing is also adapted to work with adapters that enable positioning on other suspension elements required by the vehicle manufacturer.
The control panel is equipped with an indicator - an electronic level, which allows for checking the horizontal positioning of the sensor during the measurement of the axle shaft angle in the direction perpendicular to it. The measurement should start from the left front wheel and continue in the order suggested by the device. All measured angles are displayed in degrees and hundredths of a degree, can be stored in the device's memory, and retained until the power is turned off.
